Purpose of the job
Responsible for the workshop activities and field service operations and some contract without supervision. This position is responsible for the growth and profitability of those sections; he has to guarantees customer satisfaction at the service competence level and interaction with other divisions.
Responsibilities and Expectations
• Workshop Operations. Ensure the timely and effective completion of repairs and maintenance for all Components and equipment in line with SOP and product specifications, policies and corporate goals.
• People Management. Lead, motivate, develop and support the workshop & filed service team to deliver service excellence
• Compliance. Ensure all work practices are conducted in a safe manner in line with relevant legislative and Safety requirements.
• Recording and Reporting. Ensure maintenance history for all Jobs and services and equipment is recorded, relevant records and reports are delivered to management.
• Project Delivery. Contribute to the successful delivery of workshop projects, Overhauls taking responsibility as directed.
• Take lead and Supervise Overhauls, Audit and Repair of all Epiroc equipment and Components for both Workshop and Customer Sites.
• To Supervise Field Service work, including scheduled services, machines assessment (rigscan) and breakdown repairs on all Epiroc equipment
• Support service contract team in case of need help
• Ensure Efficient Maintenance of Workshop Tooling and Equipment by Supervising and documenting Periodic Inspections.
• To take responsibility for the safe storage and maintenance of the company\’s vehicles, workshop Tooling and General Equipment in your care.
• Ensure the preparation of monthly closings and reporting, in collaboration with the service operation Manager
• Follow the guarantees, Service news & Safety campaign for all machines without service contract in collaboration with the administrators service
• Propose and collaborate in the definition of maintenance contracts and the sale of service products in close connection with the service Operation Manager.
• Controlling and following the WIP for the workshop
• Support for customers technical & operators training if needed
• Doing back-up of the supervisors on site if needed
• Participating on commissioning of the new machines
Knowledge and Experience
- University degree in Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering equivalent
- Successful experience in leading and guiding a field service team & workshop for minimum sector for at least 3 years
- Has experience on field service and workshop specially on mining sector
- Has experience on the component rebuilt & PCRs specially on Epiroc machines or equivalent
- Experience in the mining and/or construction industry
This role will report to the Service Operations Manager, Anglophone and based in our Customer Center in Ghana.
