Job Description

 

  •  Location of the position: Sekondi-Takoradi, Western Region
  • Reports to:  Project Officer
  • Contract Term: 2 years with possibility for extension
  • Associates:  Operations Support Officers and Securities.

 

Objectives of the position

The objective of the position is to serve as the driver for the project, run errands for the office and provide support during workshops / field visit.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Logistical Support

  • Drives staff and other project officials to meetings, workshops and field trips.
  • Delivers letters, equipment and other packages; and maintains records of all deliveries and distributions.
  • Undertake airport pick-up duties.

Vehicle Maintenance

  • Arranges for regular servicing and maintenance.
  • Ensures that the vehicle is kept clean and in good running condition at all times.
  • Ensures compliance with laws and regulations bothering on driving and vehicular movement.

Administrative Support

  • Maintains records for vehicles, logs official trips and records daily mileage.
  • Ensure that vehicle is fuelled regularly and proper accountability on fuel purchase is rendered.
  • Ensures that all the required documents and other supplies including vehicle insurance, road worthy certification, logbook, office directory, first aid kit, and necessary spare parts are in the assigned vehicle.
  • Assist office staff in filing, photocopying, and undertaking other administrative activities when required.
  • Maybe required to work occasionally on evenings and weekends.
  • Undertakes office errands and any other duties that may be assigned by your supervisor.

 

Required Skills or Experience

 

Qualification:

  • A of Minimum SHS (WASSCE) certificate
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Minimum Experience: Not less than 3 years’ experience.
  • Must process a valid driver’s license.

Qualities:

  • Familiarity with the transportation network within the Western and Western North Regions will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with NGO and working with People Living with HIV and AIDs will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the operational regions
