Summary
• The successful candidate will join our team as a Regional Trade Marketer in the Sales and Distribution Department.
• (S)He will report to Head of Brand Operations and ensure strategic alignment as the result of executing Trade Marketing Strategy to contribute to accomplishing the organization’s strategic objectives. The
• successful candidate will also adapt portfolio management framework to the organization’s needs, including its alignment with organizational processes and systems. The Regional Trade Marketer will as well oversee the visibility of Trade Marketing functions at the regional level.
Core Responsibilities
• Lead in ensuring effective management of point-of-sale materials in all relevant channels at the zonal level with trade audits.
• Responsible in driving company visibility strategy in relevant channels at the regional level
• Team player in coming up with planograms for the relevant channels nationwide
• Analyze retail reports and come up with tactical micro market activations to bridge gap.
• Ensure activation readiness and execution details at the regional level.
• Responsible for post activation and event performance, outlining key learnings and impact on business KPIs
• Responsible for effective promotion communication, management, reconciliation, and premiums at the zonal level.
• Provide leadership in conducting analyzing retail audit report and supervise execution of action plans at the zonal level.
• Ensure constant Point of sale material availability for the trade and consistent merchandising of company products at retail.
• Lead in bringing the brand to live at events and sponsorships
• Collaborate with sales teams to turn the “selling stories” into sales tools to effectively present the brands, the products and the marketing initiatives to their customers.
• Lead in coming up with projects to bring turn around to Key Performing Indicators at the Regional level.
Trade Marketing ideation and planning management
• Provide insight from the zonal level in the planning process by analyzing available reports to make recommendations in line with company plans
• Develop an itinerary in alignment with zonal plans to help in execution of sales projects
• Liaise with zonal teams to ensure on time and in full deployment of trade materials by offering direction and enforcing compliance.
Planogram concept as sales tools
• Provide insight from the regional level to help in developing retail execution blueprint in line with group plan for relevant channels.
• Champion feasibility test to ensure flawless implementation at zonal level
• Implement by aligning sales teams through training at the regional level
• Implement and undertake monthly audits to enforce compliance in assigned zone.
Activation planning and promotion execution
• Support in planning activations by advising mechanics and execution process with insights from the regional level
• Coordinate and brief stakeholders to ensure on time execution success
• Participate and undertake dip stick to check top of mind awareness of promotion
• Undertake qualitative promo optimization sell out (OPSO) for the zone.
Point of Sale material management
• Undertake territorial visits to ensure usage of trade materials.
• Weekly audits to ensure right usage of materials within allocated channels
• Innovate by proposing new ideas that will bring freshness and better solution to all route to market partners (freelancers and distributors) and retail channels (tabletops, neighborhood shops, AirtelTigo Money shops and kiosks, own shops, and franchise outlets).
Candidate Requirement

• Excellent organizational, communication, selling, listening and interpersonal skills
• Willing to live anywhere in the country
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in the Telco Industry or FMCG in related field.
• Minimum (3 to 5) years’ experience in telecom sales or FMCG sales is considered.
• Multi-national exposure is an added advantage
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing or Arts related course
• MBA in marketing is an added advantage.
