Field Sales – China Trade Lane at DHL Global Forwarding

  • We are seeking for a Field Sales Executive – China Trade Lane who will be expected to develop, nurture and maintain relationships with key customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong existing customer relations and loyalty through ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to customer enquiries/complaints.
  • Manages a defined portfolio of potential customers and wins them for a lasting business relationship with DHL.
  • Seeks and prospects for BC targets to win new customers generally in the 60k-1000k Euro range Net Sales per annum
  • Plans and manages medium to large sized Business Customers
  • Builds rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customers business and the market
  • Recommends solutions based on customer needs by using industry knowledge
  • Responsible for closing business by connecting a customer’s needs to a DHL solution by offering value to the clients supply chain
  • Uses networks within the various Sales channels within DPDHL to collaborate on customers, marketing strategies and offers a full supply chain of services to service customer needs
  • Collects relevant customer information for the RFI/RFP/RFQ and prepares documents for customer implementation in order to ensure proper operational handover and implementation to meet customer expectations
  • Support administration of field sales plans and processes to achieve sales objectives and revenue growth for a defined geographic region, product line or market segment
  • Seek opportunities for increased and profitable sales on new and existing accounts
  • Identify and contact prospective customers, assess customer needs and match with own products/ service/ alternative products/ services
  • Put up sales presentations, bids, etc., provide product/ service information and follow up on quotes to close business
  • Coordinate sales efforts with inside sales, and provide information on competitors and suppliers to product management
  • Explain and convince external parties such as sceptical customers, distributors, etc. who are sceptical or unwilling to accept proposals or where decision making process and standards are defined and mandatory
  • May provide functional advice or training to less experience field sales positions

Job Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • At least three (3) years’ previous experience in Sales with the logistics or a similar industry
  • Previous experience with AFR / OFR & RFR
  • Customer management experience
  • Chinese language proficiency
  • Ability to identify customer needs by gathering information and building long-term relationships
  • Results driven and attention to details
  • Ability to work alone and within a team environment
  • Honest, reliable and trust worthy
