Digital Communications Coordinator at Dikan

As the Digital Communications Coordinator, you will report to the Executive Director and assist with building the organization’s online presence and community engagement. You will develop strategies and curate engaging digital content for various platforms that will contribute to the success of the organization’s mission!

Major job responsibilities

  1. Strategy
    1. With support from the Executive Team and others, the Digital Communications Coordinator will define the brand direction and strategy.
    2. Work and coordinate tasks between external agencies.
    3. Develop and implement a Communications strategy.
    4. Produce annual work plans with clearly defined quarterly tasks and goals.
  2. Digital
    1. Develop and execute a digital communication strategy consisting of outstanding content for all digital platforms for integrated campaigns while measuring the effect on results and insights
    2. Develop a plan for improved engagement and community building with users on various digital platforms, providing captivating content and outreach when appropriate.
    3. Support the organization in developing digital efforts that promote the mission, including A/B or multivariate testing, search engine optimization, AdWords, visual storytelling, social media ads, etc.
    4. Transform concepts, ideas, and needs into compelling and thought-provoking communications and marketing pieces for the organization’s social media, website, and email
    5. Brand and IEC materials, including outreach
    6. Work with an external agency to develop Brand Guidelines and templates.
    7. Supervise the design and production of IEC materials and merchandise for Dikan.
    8. Develop Outreach plans and events to attract stakeholders to Dikan and other external events.
  3. Press and media
    1. Lead on Public Relations and engagements, including drafting press statements and circulating them.
    2. Maintain a Media Database.

Requirements

  1. Degree in marketing, communications or Public Relations. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  2. A minimum of four years of experience in advertising, communication, and marketing from a reputable advertising agency is a plus.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
  4. Experience in running digital marketing campaigns
  5. Excellent copywriter; agency experience is a plus
  6. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with teams across disciplines
  7. Excellent writing and proofing skills
  8. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  9. Strict attention to detail, rigorous approach to tasks, ability to multitask.
  10. Ability to manage more than one project at a time and to consistently meet deadlines.
  11. Highly motivated, well organized, detail-oriented, creative and innovative, and possess good time management skills.
