Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
- Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.
- Identify, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information.
- Evaluate departments and make suggestions for automating processes and increasing working efficiency.
- Support Accounting function to Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss, forecast vs. budget and weekly cash flow
- Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
- Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches, and/or new service offerings
- Review and interpret leases to identify financial clauses that help assess and manage the Company’s financials, including various contract terms such as termination rights and billing amount.
- Analyze requests to change terms of existing contracts; support internal customers with post-revision financial information.
- Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software.
- Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems and supervise company financial staff.
- Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation.
- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems

- Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors and regulatory authorities
- Mentor and develop a team, managing work allocation, systems training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic.
- Guide larger, cross-divisional team.
- Support weekly cash management and AP, approve payables, sign checks etc
- Supervise Accounts Receivable management and provide guidance relating to the collection process
Required Skills or Experience
- A minimum of 7 years working experience in a finance role with at least 4 years in a managerial position preferably in the engineering, telecommunication or manufacturing industry.
- Must be a Chartered Accountant with a Masters Degree or MBA with Concentration In Finance Or Strategic Finance
- The candidate must also have:
- Excellent attention to detail and strong system and analytical skills; able to understand complex processes Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to partner cross-functionally, and work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed-upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
