The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expertise, advice and support through taking accountability for the end-to-end cloud computing environment and all initiatives that relate to cloud. This includes architecting, designing, facilitating, leading and directing cloud initiatives on multiple fronts. Responsible for directing the architectural aspects of cloud services and brokering team across all aspects of IT and the business.
Responsibilities
- Assess own performance through seeking timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
- Manage application portfolio lifecycle, data, identity and access, define security, privacy and compliance standards within cloud
- Serve as the subject matter expert and play on a consultative role as it pertains to cloud solutions
- Develop and manage cloud architecture\\landscape
- Manages risks in own area of responsibility
- Deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards
- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
- Prevent wastage and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
- Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development
- Display and encourage an appreciation of teamwork and inclusivity
- Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships across area of specialisation
Qualifications
- Relevant degree or industry certification in architecture
- Azure or AWS certified solutions architect
- 10 years experience in an IT environment, with at least 2 to 3 years experience in Solutions Architecture and system/cloud engineering
