Job Purpose
Assist with the implementation and enforcement of health and safety strategies and policies to minimize and remove accidents, work related illness and injuries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct continuing education to provide and update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques.
- Enforce compliance of health and safety policies and rules to achieve zero fatality on all sites.
- Conduct daily inspection of facilities to identify potential hazards and recommend solutions to prevent injuries or illness in the workplace.
- Investigate and report on causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site.
- Provide management information by preparing and submitting weekly and monthly reports to project leadership.
- Maintaining records of accidents, complaints, maintenance activities, inspections, and other activities related to environmental health and safety.
- Ensures that costs are kept within the approved budget limit.
- Trains staff on emergency response procedures and carries out periodic drills and exercises to test efficacy of the emergency response procedures.

Qualifications/Experience
- A minimum of a Higher National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety.
