A Fintech organization has a vacancy for highly motivated individuals with high integrity and a passion to succeed for hiring as HR Manager

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Department: HR Department

Purpose of the Job

  • Responsible for the effective management of the company’s Human Resource function through the efficient use of resources.
  • Setting the strategic direction for the HR Department and ensuring delivery against key objectives
  • Understanding key business goals and business priorities, able to apply to core areas of HR responsibilities in order to priorities work and set goals

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Manual

  • Develop and submit the Human Resource Annual Planning after Corporate Strategic sessions
  • Review and submit condition of service, Manpower Plan, Human Resource Policy, Performance Management Policy, Training Policy, Health and Safety policy as and when required.
  • Develop and submit Human Resources budget on a yearly basis to CEO through Chief of Staff.
  • Manage and Develop all staff in the department

Annual Plan

  • Develop the following in the HR annual Plan
  • Organization Culture and Values
  • Annual Human resource budget
  • Manpower levels and staff cost
  • New Recruitment
  • Employee orientation and on boarding
  • Employee training and development
  • Turnover strategy
  • Leave Administration
  • Employee welfare

Training & Development

  • Assist Line Managers to Identify Training Needs
  • Identify internal and external training resources
  • Develop an annual training budget with the aid of the Line Managers
  • Schedule trainings very quarter
  • Facilitate to submit training reports
  • Performance Management
  • Ensure at the beginning of each year department heads should set target for all staff based on the corporate yearly targets and staff Job description.
  • One month before the performance evaluation is due, Human Manager should send out the appraisal form to the respective department heads.
  • Based on the job description and yearly targets, appraisal should be done quarterly.
  • Ensure that all completed performance appraisal forms are reviewed and signed by the appraiser and appraise.
  • Ensure staff who met their targets get rewarded
  • Staff who could not meet their target are placed on Performance Improvement Plan

Recruitment

  • Responsible for recruitment, selection and placement of all staff
  • Responsible for the authorization and approval of all recruiting documentation, closures etc.
  • Ensure the availability of interview assessment forms and other documentations, test instruments, evaluation methodology, reports etc.
  • Ensure employee reference checks i.e., police criminal records check and with past employers
  • Ensure pre-employment medical checks are done before start date.
  • Ensure all onboarding documents are ready and filed i.e. documentation, offer letters etc.
  • Responsible for Induction and orientation of all new recruits Company overview.
  • Responsible for the retention, development, performance of staff

Staff Welfare

  • Ensure a conducive work environment i.e. clean and functional offices / Staff cafeteria, restroom
  • Maintain a harmonious relation between management and staff
  • Ensure employee grievance are diligently addressed
  • Effectively manage leave
  • Publish the celebrations of Birthdays, Marriages, Professional achievement
  • Ensure Happy Hours every last Friday of every quarter
  • Publish the funerals of staff

Health & Safety

  • Ensure all staff wear their mask
  • Provide flowing water and soap for hand washing
  • Ensure the temperature of all is taken before entry
  • Ensure to administer the First Aid Box as at when.
  • Ensure staff enjoy all their Health Insurance Benefits

 

 

Required Skills or Experience

 

Education

  • A Master’s degree in Human Resource, Business Administration or its equivalent
  • Professional Certification in Human Resource
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the HR industry
  • Good knowledge of Ghana’s Labour Law, Act 651 (2003)
  • Knowledge of contemporary trends in Human Resource Management​

  • Knowledge of Office Processes and Procedures
  • Good people-management skills
  • Good communication skills – oral and written
  • Excellent Leadership skills
