Benefit to the Intern:
By the end of the internship period, the student will be able to:
- Appreciate the technical, operational, and administrative procedures of PATH organization and understand how PATH support to the Ghana government and global public health.
The intern will:
Responsibilities:
- Assist with administrative support to the field office.
- Support Project leads to coordinate travel arrangements for meetings and conference.
- Assist with preparation for meetings, managing logistics including arrangement for venue.
- Support program during meetings by taking notes and recording minutes
- Assist with organization of relevant background materials for meetings and monitor follow-up activities.
- Assist in photocopying, printing, and scanning documents.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Internship Goals and Learning Objectives:
- Appreciate the technical, operational, and administrative procedures of PATH organization and understand how PATH support to the Ghana government and global public health.
- Skills in project management and team development in PATH
- Demonstrate health leadership skills, e.g., team development, employee performance development and coaching/mentoring
- Plan and organize high level stakeholder meetings/conference calls and report proceedings
- Moving recommendations into policy and programs – design and development of policy briefs, facts sheets and flyers
- Maintain daily logbook, document or chronicle important events and report experiences.
Skills to be developed and/or deepened during the internship:
F&A Officer will do onboarding and take the NSP through PATH operations and administrative procedures at the Ghana field.
- Participate in team development – Performance assessment session to understand staff development and accountability.
- Assist with data collation, analyses and reporting
- Be able to work with the team on any other business during the National Service.
Learning Outcomes (how the intern\’s performance will be evaluated):
The NSP will be required to give monthly reports/presentations of learnings.
- Supervisor/observer direct assessment by supervisor
- Face-to-face meetings with the Country Representative and supervisor
Required Skills and Experience:
Excellent oral communication skills
- Strong writing skills with relevant information and literature
- Familiar with Microsoft suite
- Planning and organization of meetings
- Ability to work effectively independently and with a team
