An international School in Tema seeks a qualified, dynamic, and visionary person for the position of Head of School/Principal.
The Principal must be an experienced, successful school principal that understands, represents, commits to and implements the mission and philosophy of the school. He/she is responsible for a conducive school climate with respect to both students and staff.
The School comprises Kindergarten, Lower and Upper Primary, Junior High School, Lower and Upper Secondary School. It currently runs both the GES and Cambridge programs, and scheduled to commence IB education from the next academic year.
The successful candidate would be expected to exhibit knowledge of school administration and programs, as well as a commitment to the mission and philosophy of the school.
He/She will be responsible for maintaining a conducive climate for learning, by building harmonious relationships within the school, and between the school, parents, and the student body.
He/She will be expected to at all times focus on the improvement of student academic performance and the overall academic record of the school
He/She will expected to foster a school-wide culture in which students love learning, think critically, and take ownership over their own academic and extracurricular achievement.
Prior experience in a similar position will be an advantage
Required Skills or Experience
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s Degree (Educational Administration preferred)
- Working knowledge of GES BECE, Cambridge IGCSE and IBDP curriculum is required.
- Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness.
- Ability to Monitor and supervise to ensure delivery of responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills, problem solving, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong focus on improvement of student academic performance
- Talent, Tact, and Passion in the discharge of duties.
