IT Governance Specialist at First National Bank

Purpose

To define and implement and monitor and audit standards and policies and procedures for the effective management of IT governance that deliver value and mitigate risks whilst maintaining a customer centric approach

Experience and qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification – Relevant Diploma
  • Preferred Qualification – Relevant Degree
  • Experience – 3 to 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at junior specialist level
  • Additional Knowledge – Knowledge of IT functions at CIO Office level

Responsibilities

  • Provide input into the development of the tactical strategy, and develop and implement a supporting operational strategy
  • Manage the governance and planning and risk management functions and ensures appropriate policies and controls are in place for effective service delivery
  • Manages risks in own area of responsibility
  • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
  • Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
  • Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development
  • Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions
