Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry including rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.

Purpose of job:

To aid the Purchasing Section with its day-to-day administration

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Evaluate cargo handling through effective and efficient customs clearance, and delivery processes
  • Register all imports from overseas suppliers for customs clearance
  • Liaise with brokers for shipments’ immediate clearance and delivery to our service centres
  • Collate all documents on goods received from port for checking by the inbound
  • Register all parts related problems (wrong spares, damaged parts, shortages and overages) through the Sandvik LPS, ensuring tickets are resolved on time
  • Monitor all orders for Sandvik Ghana through effective and efficient delivery methods
  • Adhere to all Sandvik Policies & Procedures especially the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality policies

Qualification

  • Minimum HND in Purchasing & Supply/
  • Part qualification in CIPS or its equivalent
  • Intermediate knowledge in MS Office Application
  • Minimum three years’ experience in similar role
  • Experience in cargo management
  • Knowledge of Aurora Software
  • Excellent communication and presentational skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary
