The U.S. Mission in Accra is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Fuel Clerk. The schedule for the position is full time 40 hours per week
Duties
Under the direct supervision by motor pool supervisor, job holder measures, received and dispenses fuel, prepares quarterly workload statistics and weekly monthly reports on fuel usage, and enter the daily fuel dispensed into a recommended Fuel Management Information System (FMIS). Incumbent performs all responsibilities in measuring and dispensing fuel in a manner that will prevent safety and health hazards
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
- Two years of dispensing fuel in a large organization and performing administration functions including maintenance of fuel master pump, and daily tasks such as keeping records of GOV maintenance schedules; take inventory of fuel stock and report and discrepancy to the supervisor.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Good working knowledge of fuel dispensing and clerical duties as well as knowledge in computer is required. Must have ability to perform basic analysis on frequency of fuel usage and stock; must have the ability to apply fuel level check gauge to determine the amount of fuel stock and daily/monthly fuel usage.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of Secondary School is required.

LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge (Speaking, writing & reading) is required. (Language proficiency will be tested).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to keep fuel dispensing workspace tidy and attend to customers in a polite way.
- Must be able to handle and track fuel invoices, receive requests, fuel coupons, and water tank checklists.
