Job Title: General Manager

Reporting: Chief Executive Officer

Summary of Responsibilities:

The General Managers will be responsible for the day-to-day business activities, improving overall business functions, training heads of departments, managing budgets, developing strategic plans, creating policies, and communicating business goals.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of Ten (10) years post qualification relevant work experience.
  • Work experience in a Housing Institution will be an obvious advantage.

Core Competencies Required

Must have:

  • Have A minimum of 1? degree in Building technology or related field, an MBA or professional qualification in Marketing would be an added advantage.
  • Have seven years relevant work experience in the building and construction industry of which three years must be in a managerial position
  • Have work experience in a reputable multinational or local construction and real estate company.
  • Have strong project management and development skills.
  • Possess the ability to influence and negotiate for contracts, as well as market the company’s social housing products.
  • Be analytical, focused, hardworking and firm with a strong sense of discipline.
  • Good knowledge of different business functions.
  • Have strong people management skills
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Have impeccable presentation, spoken and written communication skills.
  • Highly organised.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proactive nature.
  • Computer literate.
  • Be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
