IEPA, in collaboration with the Education Commission, is currently undertaking a research project related to Inclusive, Engaging and Adaptive (IEA) Pedagogies in primary schools across Ghana. An aspect of the project involves carrying out a rapid research to assess IEA pedagogies prevalent at lower primary level of public schools. This includes classroom observations and interviews with school leadership in selected primary schools, and investigating enabling factors and barriers to inclusive, engaging, adaptive and playful pedagogies. IEPA is recruiting Field Research Associates in this regard to collect data for this and subsequent research projects.
Eligibility:
• Preferably graduate degrees in education (ideally MEd or MSc and/or MPhil in related disciplines).
• A first degree in education coupled with extensive fieldwork experience in data collection and analysis could be considered.
• Fluency in English, both oral and written forms.
• Strong technology skills: Candidate should demonstrate ability to use tablets and/or android phones for data collection.
• Strong inter-personal skills: Candidate must be able to interact with people from a variety of backgrounds and develop rapport with the respondent.
• Attention to detail: The candidate must be detail-oriented and be able to follow complex instructions.
Desirable
• Teachers, School Improvement Support Officers (SISOs)
• Anyone with previous experience conducting field surveys.
• Anyone with previous experience conducting semi-structured interviews, or surveys with open-ended questions.
