The Role Responsibilities

  1. To plan, direct, and control the effective and efficient
  • Settlement of client transactions
  • Settlement of Corporate action
  • Registration of shares
  • Transfer of shares
  • Custody management (for physical registration),
  • FX reporting
  • Provide quality client’s service.
  • Be cost-effective.
  • Optimize utilization of resources.

Lead and provide governance oversight over operations in the hub to ensure an efficient operation managed in strict compliance with the various local laws and group risk standards.

To ensure continuous improvement of team’s performance and effective risk management to protect the clients and Bank’s interest.

Build, collaborate and maintain a strong relationship with internal and external stakeholder to achieve business goals.

Lead in the transformation of the operations shop through the use of A3 and other methods available.

  1. Processing:
  • Confirmation of details with counterparty to ensure efficient and timely trade settlement.
  • Ensure daily review of EoD reports from the various desks.
  • Ensure pro-active management of client trades to reduce the chances of failure.
  • Ensure investigation and update on reconciliation exceptions with reference to cash and stock – (daily suspense, daily activity, weekly and monthly holdings) are promptly updated for closure.
  • To ensure that all client requirement/communication/queries are responded within 2 hours of receipt. Holding response to be sent to clients within an hour of receipt and a follow up to clients in case the final response requires further investigation.
  • To ensure laid down procedures in the Departmental Operating Instructions are adequately followed.
  • Ensure that the relevant Key Control Standards are adhered to.
  • Ensure real time escalation of any possible operational incidents/ops loss/ compliant to Country Head SS Ops.
  • To perform any job or task resulting from exigencies as well as those that may be assigned by Head of Securities Services Operations.
