Grundfos SafeWater has established the Ghana Water Initiative with the purpose of implementing a new approach to water service delivery in rural Ghana. As a true SDG company focusing on clean water and sanitation (SDG #6) and taking action to combat climate change (SDG #13), we are invested in developing commercially viable solutions to providing water services to rural communities. We have begun this journey in Ghana with our first pilot site and with the aim to establish a commercially viable model that can be rolled out across Ghana. We aim to reach 1 million people with access to safe drinking water by 2025.
Join the core team developing and growing this concept

 

The Ghana Water Initiative has been in place since 2019 and has established its first pilot site, with 2 more in progress. You will join this team to support the team in developing the brand and marketing for the Ghana Water Initiative, with a view to scaling the solution across Ghana. The target audiences will be SMEs, as well as local and international stakeholders.

You will be located at the Grundfos offices in Accra, where you and the 4 other team members will make up a strong and capable team. You will execute with a high degree of responsibility in collaboration with the core team and the Grundfos SafeWater organization and partners.

Key Activities:

 

  • Develop marketing and brand identity for the Ghana Water Initiative (GWI)
  • Develop and implement a communications strategy for the Ghana Water Initiative
  • Ensure continuous storytelling of the successes of the GWI during the implementation
  • Provide any other marketing and communications support services as required

 

Qualifications and Skills Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or similar
  • Commitment to telling the story of increasing water access
  • Awareness of water sector, sustainable development goals
  • Experience of using innovative platforms within and external to Ghana for marketing and sharing information is an advantage.

  • Strong English skills, French is desirable
