Job Description


A Reputable Life Assurance Company is seeking to engage the services of Business Development Executive (Welfare)   

DUTIES

  • Manage Business Development, Commercial operations and profitability of the Company’s products (Welfare)
  • Identify and harness new clients’ opportunities, while retaining and upgrading existing customer base
  • Build strong relationships with key clients; represent the Company at programs and events that build the Company’s reputation
  • Recommend product lines by identifying new products opportunities, surveying consumer needs and trends, tracking competitors
  • Liaise with operations on matters concerning Corporate Unit processes
  • Submit reports; weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually
  • Prepare and submit marketing reports
  • Provide any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time

SUPERVISORY ROLE: -N/A

DEPARTMENTAL RELATIONS: All departments: Relates with all HODs and staff in the execution of duties or tasks

EXTERNAL RELATIONS:

  • CEOs & COOs: Top most authorities in decision making. They directly impact my acquisition of new accounts and renewal of existing ones
  • Head of HR: For reliable and suitable contact staff information, which helps determine the best group policy that will cater for their specific needs. Information from HR influences underwriting as well. It helps weigh risk involved
  • Head of Finance: For reliable and suitable contact on financial information about a company, which guides in financial considerations on the policy being sold or recommended
  • Senior or Junior officers, receptionists: To assist in the movements or connections to the Managers. Liaise with them on minor Admin. tasks & correspondences like: renewals, claims, quotes, payments etc.
  • Religious Bodies: To aid in information about members which guides in specific insurance needs

 

RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSETS:

  • Computer
  • Company vehicle

JOB ENVIRONMENT 

  • Responding to emergencies as and when
  • Normal working conditions

Required Skills or Experience

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE 
Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in sales

COMPETENCIES
Educational Qualification 
Masters’ Degree in Marketing or any related field

Technical Qualification

  • Knowledge in sales
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent Administrative skills
  • Relevant product and industry knowledge
