An indigenous Agro-Business Establishment located in the Bono East Region is looking for suitably qualified applicants to fill the following vacant position with the accompanying job role as Finance Manager
Job Brief
- The role is mainly responsible for guiding the organisation in profit-making and profit increase using comprehensive and most practicable financial applications, monitoring of financial activities, forcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures and regulations, reporting of financials, as well as acting as an advisor to senior management in support of the achievement of company goals
- The position or the successful applicant shall report to the Financial Controller / General Manager
Responsibilities
- Set up and manage processes of the Finance Departments, including policies financial budgeting, departmental recruitments, job procedures assessments, and recommending training needed
- Develop actual and strategic business plans based on detailed financial investigation and analyses of the company’s financial forecasts
- Perform all financial management responsibilities including generating financial information, collecting and submitting timely periodic reports, analysing trends within the industry and evaluating the financial health of the company
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliation of financial books, forecasting of cash flow and enforcing regulatory compliance, especially with tax and financial report ethics
- Advise company Executives and management on financial decisions and implications related to the company’s funds/financial status and forecasts
- Supervise the documentation of the company’s financial status and forecasts
- Facilitate understanding between the organisation, employees, stakeholders shareholders and investors on financial issues for cordial resolution of differences about what may be known as accurate or not
Qualification Required & Experience
- About 10 years of proven finance and accounting work experience from a similar job/industry preferably in an FMCG industry
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance
- Professional qualification would be an advantage
- An experience in the big 5 audit firm would be an advantage
- Food industry experience a plus, hands-on ERP experience preferred 5 years plus experience, finance administration preferred
- Strong grasp of SAGE-ERP accounting software concept
- Extremely strong Excel skills, especially advanced financial modelling and analytical techniques
- Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate complex processes
- Proven knowledge of financial analysis and strategy
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations and industry legislations
