Administrative Assistant / Security Escort at U.S. Embassy Accra

The Embassy of the United States of America in Accra is the diplomatic mission of the United States in Ghana. It is the focal point for events relating to the United States held in Ghana.

 

Duties

Incumbent provides services on an as-needed basis. S/he may be called upon to provide administrative support to various offices, develop one-time reports, provide coverage during staffing gaps and/or provide security escort services. The incumbent reports to the Human Resources Office, Regional Security Office, General Services Office, Information Management Office, or Facilities Manager, as appropriate based on the given assignment.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  At least one year of experience working in office, management or security-related position is required.

Education Requirements:

Completion of high school/secondary school is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:  Good working knowledge of written and spoken English language is required. This may be tested.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Accra, Ghana may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
